The questions I’m asking are:

How can I improve my life in 2022? What do I need to do to Reach Higher? Who do I need to meet?

Today, I’m writing our goals for 2022 climbing. Because of physical conditions, we have to plan ahead;

  • we have to be realistic, we consider our resources,

  • the needed training and then

  • we focus on reaching those goals.

The week of January 8th & 9th, that whole week, I had my annual cardiology appointment. I needed my cardiologist to give me clearance to climb high altitudes (16,000-20,000 feet).

Don had taken his prostate test and was waiting for the final results after his cancer radiation treatment. As soon as we can get this information, we are going to have a conversation with our international mountaineering guide to check coordinate dates for climbing in Ecuador. We knew he would be in Nepal climbing in the Spring, so timing was critical.

Questions to consider before setting your goal to climb, to reach higher, to move forward:

  • How does your plan start? With an idea? With an Aspiration? Did someone inspire you?

  • Do you consider the three steps to every goal?

Three Steps:

1. What resources do I have and what do I need?

2. What Training do I have and what do I need?

3. How will I focus my courage and compassion to reach that goal?

What happened next?

Yeah! Don got the lowest prostate number ever! If he had a lower number, he wouldn’t have a prostate. AND, I got cleared by my cardiologist to climb high altitude mountains again.

The next blog will have more details.

Share your next goal and 1 of the steps you have taken to move forward in the comments below.
